Our “scent stopper” pommel is classified as an Oakeshott T5 and is quite a complex object to mould. It is made from a special blend of plastic and powdered metal to increase the weight beyond what is achievable with plastic alone. The threaded brass "supertorque" insert offers much better purchase than conventional inserts allowing for a tight fit. Our Extended Pommel is twice as long as our standard scent-stopper pommels giving an extra 6.5cm of grip. This allows for the bulkiest of padded gloves and provides a lot of extra torque in the blade!
The Extended Pommel will convert your single hand sword into a Bastard sword and give your Longsword blade an extra long grip. The Stainless Steel Pommels are a fantastic addition to the Pro-Line range. They are particularly good when used on a Single Hand Xtreme Blade making for a authentically weighted, fast moving sword.
When used in conjunction with an Xtreme Longsword Blade it brings the weight of the sword up to 1165g with a 1" POB.
If used in combination with Pro-Line Stainless Steel Guard it brings the weight of the sword up to 1465g with a POB at the guard.
