Knife Spyderco/Byrd Catbyrd Combo Edge (BY18PS) |
Points: 4
|
Here kitty. From first glance, the Catbyrd fits its name. It looks feline - sleek, clean-lined and sharp clawed. The blade is 8Cr13MoV stainless steel: a recent knife industry creation of high carbon stainless steel similar in performance to AUS-8. It contains molybdenum, vanadium and near 1% carbon for enhancement of the steel’s durability and edge retention. Catbyrd’s blade is flat-ground, sweeping slightly upward to a Clip-Point tip. Knife Spyderco/Byrd Wings Slipit (BY21GPS) |
Points: 3
|
The new Wings SLIPIT is a non-locking folder in the byrd line. Its bosltered stainless steel handle is fitted with G-10 scales, housing dual hollow-ground blades. One is Sheepfoot-shaped with 2-1/4 inches (57mm) of serrated cutting edge. The Sheepfoot’s rounded tip has no point, suiting it well for puncture-free cutting. The second blade is a Drop-Point plain edge blade also with 2-1/4” inches (57mm) of plain edge cutting surface for intricate and precise cutting. Each blade is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, with the two sitting shoulder-to-shoulder, opening smoothly in opposite directions with the help of phosphor bronze washers. For use with only one blade extended at a time. The handle has full-length skeletonized liners, screwed together construction and a 4-way: tip/up, tip/down left/right hand pocket clip. Sold Out

Knife Spyderco/Byrd Wings (BY20GPS) |
Points: 3
|
Ask someone what comes to mind when they think of a multi-bladed pocketknife. There’s a likely chance the first thing that pops into their head is a traditional small bone-handled pocketknife like their grandfather used to carry. Those original multi-bladed pocket folders were handy for cutting packages or cardboard and floated deep in grandfather’s pocket clinking against his keys and loose change. Sold Out

Down Under Knives The Bushmate (DUKBM) |
|
With the large and extra large hunting knives firmly covered, we turned our attention to detail work. There's a lot to be said for bringing enough knife for the job, but sometimes there's no substitute for the precision of a moderately sized blade that doesn't extend too far from your grip. We feel this type of knife is all about finesse and control, so we gave it just that: an unshiftable grip and plenty of surface for your thumb and index finger to keep the knife exactly where you want it. Coupled with a classic, proven blade design and gently curving, tapered back for extra smooth gliding properties this knife doesn't just feel like an extension - it feels like a natural part of your hand. Down Under Knives THE DEATH ADDER (DUKDA) |
Points: 12
|
With the power and chopping ability pretty well covered by the Outback and Red Rock Raptor, we turned our attention to speed. We set out to create the flat out fastest and best handling fighting knife we could come up with, with just the right balance and reach to compromise nothing. The result is the new Death Adder - like its reptilian namesake, capable of delivering a devastating strike in the blink of an eye. Sold Out

Down Under Knives RED ROCK RAPTOR (DUKRRR) |
Points: 12
|
Well, after several months of design work and prototyping, we believe we have done just that. The design of the Red Rock Raptor borrows elements from the legendary Kukri to get the raw speed and power necessary to chop through more or less anything that could conceivably need chopping through. The angle and width of the tip provides a natural stabbing point, while the smooth convex/concave transition of the edge gives you the durability of an axe and the sharpness and control of a whittling knife - both right where you need them, without detracting anything from each other. Down Under Knife The Kookaburra (DUKKB) |
Points: 14
|
The Kookaburra™ throwing / hunting / utility knife
The Kookaburra™ 440C stainless blade is heat treated to approximately RC52 to withstand the stress of repeated impacts - yet it still maintains a sharp edge so it can be used as a proper utility knife, unlike most throwers on the market today. Sharp enough to cut like any good hunting knife, heavy enough to chop like a full-size Bowie, and resilient enough to withstand continuous throwing practice, this blade is truly as versatile as they come. Down Under Knives The Toothpick (DUKTP) |
Points: 18
|
We took the basic concept and gave it our trademark touch of classic styling and modern durability, with rust resistant materials and tough leather that feels as good as it looks. This isn't a replacement for a crowbar or an axe - it's a purebred fighting knife with the heft to get stuff done and the balance to make that weight all but disappear in your hands when you pick it up. Sold Out
