Iaito have long been the preferred training tools for safe practice of the many Japanese sword drawing arts typically known as Iaido. While not designed for sword-on-sword contact or actual test cutting, the un-edged iaito is perfectly weighted and balanced for its designed task of safe, repetitive drawing practice.
The Nami, Gorin, and Tsuru iaito are a breakthrough in design and functionality. Made of a special stainless steel, the blades are much more durable than iaito blades made from aluminum alloy, with a "live" feel and much superior rigidity. Through a special tempering process, these Iaito blades eliminate the brittle behaviour sometimes associated with stainless steel, while retaining its low maintenance and rust-resistant qualities. These very affordable Iaito are the ideal training tools for safely praciticing this ancient art.

Each piece in the Great wave Series (SH5004, SH5002, & SH5022) is stylized with the renowned Tomoe motif. The tsuba, fuchi, & kashira are made of black iron and marked with the Tomoe crest (mon). The blades are hand-forged from T10 high-carbon steel and are differentially tempered using traditional claying methods. The temper line (hamon) is evident and prominent. Each piece has a deeply lacquered black saya with a one-piece brass habaki construction. Real ray skin (same) is used on the tsuka, and the tsuka-ito and sageo are made of premium woven Japanese black cotton. The katana and wakizashi are constructed with a large o-kissaki and are ideal for cutting exercises (tameshigiri). The handle on the tanto is an attractive ribbed buffalo horn.

Bastard Sword Blunt Trainer designed by Michael `Tinker` Pearce and reproduced by Hanwei to his specifications.
The Blunt Trainer features nearly identical handling of its sharp companion, but with thick edges (2mm) and a rounded tip for safe sparring practice.
Tinker Pearce has developed these matching longswords to satisfy the need of every Western Martial Arts practitioner and sword enthusiast, to have a matching set of sharp and blunt swords for cutting and safe training practice. The swords meet Tinker`s exacting quality requirements and are built in much the same way as his custom pieces. Each blade is forged from 5160 Spring Steel, Marquenched to the desired hardness of 50-53 Hrc while the tang is drawn back to the low 30s Hrc. Teh very end of the tang is threaded to fit an allen nut recessed into the pommel which allows for dimantling of the hilt assembly for inspection or to exchange blades if needed.

Jian Tai Chi Sword
Designed by world-renowned Chinese martial arts master Sifu Adam Hsu, these Chinese straight swords (Jian) are sure to become the standard in the martial arts community. With function and performance in mind during the design, these jian are constructed for martial artists. The blades are made of high-carbon spring steel with a ridgeline going down the center producing an intense audible feedback when swung. The Ming-style guard is a beautifully ornate with an embossed Dragon symbol. The pommel is open-ended to allow for a tassel. The handle and scabbard are made of a high-resistance wood-grain polymer for durability and strength. Also, the handle has grooves running down it to increase sensitivity when held. One unique feature is the duck-bill lock in the bottom of the scabbard that securely holds the sword in place. Sifu Adam Hsu has done the martial arts community a great service in designing such an affordable and functional sword. Our Japanese arrowheads (yanone) are faithfully reproduced from originals in museum collections. Some yanone were strictly utilitarian while others, like most of these examples, were beautifully pierced and decorated and used primarily for presentations and temple offerings. Most pieces fall into one of several broad groupings. The Torii, Dharma, Monkey Moon and Bamboo Butterfly fall into "Willowleaf" pattern, while the Swimming Dragon, Watakusi, Sakura and Fudo follow the Flesh Terror (Barbed) profile. The Karimata, Dragon Cloud, Boar's Eye and Tiger Dragon are crafted in what is known as the "Rope Cutter" style, though it is more likely that this profile was used for hunting big game rather than cutting ropes. These arrowheads, either singly or in groups, are outstanding collectibles and conversation pieces. Also available is the arrowhead display stand (OH2235) to showcase up to 6 arrowheads.

The M3 Trench Knife was standardized by the United Sates Army on January 14, 1943 to replace the 1918 Mark1 Trench Knife, carried over from WWI. The M3 was intended for issue to any soldier not equipped with a bayonet. Priority issue was given to the Airborne, Rangers, Mountain and Glider infantry Troops. Over 2.5 million M3 knives were produced by nine manufacturers during WWII, at an average cost to the government of $1.50. Some of the rarer versions sell today in the collector market for upwards of $1000.00!

One of the most recognized general issue knives of WWII, the USMC Fighting Knife is not only still in use today it has also become a symbol of the Marines who carry it. Also known as the Mark 2, after its Navy designation, the knife was fist issued in early 1943 and has been the standard fighting knife of the Marine Corps for more than 50 years. Originally designed as a hunting knife, the only change for the original military version was the application of a non-reflective matte black or gray phosphate finish. Millions of the knives have since been made.
