Forged from pure 1095 high-carbon steel, this 29" blade is as resilient as it is beautiful. Hand-forged and clay-tempered, the Hamon is brought out through a meticulous traditional hand-polish on imported Japanese stones. This fine polish exposes the grain of the steel, very similar to Nashiji Hada (pear Hada). A hand-carved and burnished Bo-Hi keeps this large blade balanced and lively. The blade is fitted in our popular mokko cherry theme. The Tsuka is wrapped in silk Ito. The Saya is finished in a durable black matte lacquer.

Forged from unique blend of 1095/1085 high-carbon steel and 1060 spring steel, this 29" blade exhibits all the aesthetic qualities of the traditional Japanese sword. Forge-folded 8-12 times, the blade's surface shows a complex Hada, most commonly in the Mokume and Ayasugi styles. The Hamon and Hada are further enhanced by a traditional hand-polish on imported Japanese stones. The absence of Bo-Hi makes this blade a superior choice for cutting. The blade is fitted our popular turbulent wave theme with a pair of dragon Menuki. The 11" Tsuka is wrapped in black silk Ito. The Saya is finished in a durable black stone lacquer.

This steel has all the qualities and characteristics of traditional "noble steel", the true material of the Katana. Hand-forged and folded 8-12 times, the blade exhibits an organic and subtle Hada, most commonly in the Mokume and Ayasugi styles. The blade is clay-tempered and hand-polished on imported Japanese stones, giving the Hamon a white frosted appearance on a dark background. The Oxtail Saber was used predominantly by martial artists rather than the military, making the design difficult to attribute to a specific time period. Nevertheless, the Oxtail Saber is the most popular and recognizable of the Chinese broadswords. The Dynasty Forge Oxtail Saber is forged from 1095/1085/1060 high-carbon steel. The sheath is hand-carved from hardwood while the handle features a hardwood core wrapped in green cord. The fittings are based on an antique specimen attributed to the Qing Dynasty and have a highly stylized floral motif.
