Constructed of the 9260TH spring steel, this Shobu-Zukuri katana is our preferred varient. The shinogi (ridgeline) of this sword runs the entire length of the blade... all the way to the very tip. This configuration results in a needle-like tip where the mune-shinogi-ha comes together to a singular point, facilitating penetration of soft targets.

It is handsomely finished with a cast brass Musashi Double Ring tsuba that is thicker than the standard steel tsubas with an antiqued finish. This sword has a heftier and more antiqued look and feel than other steel fitted blades.

| Cheness Kaze - 9260 Differentially Hardened Spring Steel Katana |

The Kaze (Wind) is the result of many popular requests for a clay tempered (hardened) blade using our 9260 Silicon Alloy Spring Steel. The blade body of the Kaze is a hand clayed and differentially heat treated 9260 silicon carbon spring steel. It is finished with a replica of an antique blackened cast steel tsuba submitted to us. This steel is stronger than our Kanbai katana, but does not have the same resiliency of the through hardened 9260. The gain from the clay hardening is that the blade has a smooth and elegant natural hamon (9260 does not generate the same hamon as the Kanbai katana).

This is the companion sword for our Kaze katana. Material and design made to be a matching set with our version of the Kaze Katana... Sharpened functional cutter. It features a 6.5" tsuka and uses double mekugi.
Key feature of this particular wakizashi is the differentially clay hardened blade with the visible natural hamon as is on our Kaze Katana. As is with our latest version of the Kaze, this sword uses a double mekugi with one being bamboo, and the other being copper.

| Greek Kopis Sword |

Although the leaf blade Hoplite Sword is most often associated with the ancient Greek warrior, the Kopis was widespread and much in use all across the Greek Isles and indeed other areas under their influence, even including their ofttimes enemy, Persia. This is due, no doubt, to the fact that it is a very effective weapon, being able to split bronze helms and wooden shields. Blade sizes varied from about 8" up to about 22" in length. We have chosen to replicate a mid-size blade that would have been carried alone or sometimes with a longer Hoplite Sword. The fullered blade is high carbon steel and has polished buffalo horn scales riveted to a full profile tang with steel spacers and tip. This version of the Lakonian short sword was copied from the book "The Spartan Army". The Spartan army was one of the toughest on record; they devoted themselves to being the best of the best. This is a potent weapon that would be superb in the brutality of ancient hand to hand combat. The leaf shaped blade is high carbon steel, grip is bronze.
Scabbard is wood covered in leather. A very effective close combat short sword. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts.
