Gil Hibben and United Cutlery teamed up to produce a series of annual knives designed by Gil in the early '90s. The annual series, better known as the "Fantasy Series" soon became a tradition that continues today. The 2011 Annual Series is the Gil Hibben Eclipse Bowies. The Autographed Bowie is limited to 3,000 pieces. This high quality Bowie is the newest edition to the most collectible line of production fantasy. This knife features a cast stainless steel pommel, guard and accents and a laminated hardwood handle. Offers an AUS-6 stainless steel drop point blade and includes a recycled leather sheath.

Gil Hibben has a history of designing knives for Sylvester Stallone to feature in his films, going back to the Rambo III Bowie. Stallone commissioned Gil to make several knives to use in THE EXPENDABLES and THE EXPENDABLES 2. One of those was a never-before-produced, custom-designed Toothpick. It offers a classic Arkansas toothpick style 11 7/8" AUS-6 stainless steel blade with mirror-polished finish and a solid brass back. The handle is constructed of wood with a synthetic ivory inlay. The handle is accented with a mirror-finished guard and pommel. Includes a classic leather belt sheath with stamped Hibben logo and a Certificate of Authenticity.

Stallone has been an avid collector of Gil's custom knives and that relationship continued when Stallone commissioned Gil to make several knives to use in his new film, The Expendables. One of those was a never-before-produced, custom-designed Old West Toothpick.
This Damascus edition offers a classic Arkansas toothpick style 1,248 layer Damascus steel blade with a solid brass back. This knife is an actual copy of a typical Bowie knife of the 1830s. The story of the Bowie began on a sandbar of the Mississippi River above Natchez, Mississippi on September 19, 1827. A brawl that eventually involved Col. James “Jim” Bowie, who, having been shot and stabbed, successfully defended himself killing Major Norris Wright and wounding Alfred Blanchard with what onlookers described as a “large butcher knife.” This and other tales of Bowie’s abilities with a knife led to the widespread popularity of what became known as the “Bowie” knife.
