The classic sweeping point and forward balance point naturally facilitate cutting and chopping. The unique dropped blade is an integral safety guard that prevents accidental shifting of the operator's fingers forward and cutting it off while stabbing with the grips forward or backward.
Thumb grooves on the spine provide additional control during precise cuts. The sharpening groove at the base of the edge makes it easier to sharpen in the field.
