Inspired by historical examples, and modelled after a custom weapon by Bladesmith Dave Baker, our Polish Mace is a masterclass of minimalist design. Unlike highly decorated “Bulawa” or ceremonial weapons, these simple utilitarian Maces were often plain and unadorned, and tucked into a sash or belt at the waist, ready to be quickly snatched and brought into play as a last-ditch tool for personal-defense.
Quickly grabbed with either hand, the wielder could use this stout steel Mace to thrust and jab at speed, or swing it to land a heavier (and more devastating) percussive blow. Small, and surprisingly lightweight, the Polish Mace has a thickly walled hollow handle and a ridged steel bulb shaped head, with a polished brass finial on the crown. Easily customized, modified or wrapped for historical reenactment, this practical Mace is a fun and unusual addition to any collection!

Like our miniature helms, the mace is cast in heavy metal.
The mace is sculpted in 1/6 scale, matching the scale of our previous weapon set products.
The volcanic rock base is slightly translucent, creating a fiery glow (this product does NOT include any light-up feature)
The mace is permanently attached to the rock base. It is non-removable.
Each base bottom features product information, a print of the artist´s signature, and hand-numbered edition information.

The Flanged Mace was a formidable hand-to-hand combat weapon in Medieval times, capable of smashing even the heaviest plate armour when wielded by a mounted knight. Our 7-flanged mace is typical of those used throughout Europe. Equipped with a leather wrist and saddle thong, it features a wire-wrapped, spiral-bound grip and is built on a steel tube, rather than a solid rod, to provide better balance.

Azog’s primary weapon is his war mace. A primitive but brutal weapon, the mace was constructed of wood, leather, cord, and rough forged steel. This replica is based on the prop and models used for the film. It is crafted in steel reinforced polyresin with precise attention to detailing. It is presented with a poly stone wall mount featuring a graphic motif of Azog's tattoo scars.
